Reading Rocks 2023 June 12th-July 20th

Reading Rocks provides reading activities for six weeks during the summer in conjunction with the School District II’s Free Lunch in the Parks, a program that serves over 50,000 free lunches during the course of the summer. Reading Rocks is designed to help students continue reading over the summer when reading levels are known to drop. Reading Rocks provides children with free books, reading mentorship, and story telling by community leaders to keep children engaged in reading while away from school.

Locations for Summer 2023:

Mondays: Orchard Elementary & Castle Rock Park 12:15-1pm
Tuesdays: Central Park and Pioneer Park 12:15-1pm
Wednesdays: Terry Park & Hawthorne Park 12:15-1pm
Thursdays: Central Park and Pioneer Park 12:15-1pm
Thursday evening: South Park, 5:15-6:00 pm
