Brad Pitt Pokes Fun At Royals At BAFTAs
Brad Pitt’s awards season humor hasn’t let up. The actor poked fun at the Royal family during his acceptance speech for best supporting actor at the 2020 BAFTAs, with Prince William and Kate Middleton in the audience.
Except it wasn’t Pitt who actually made the speech on Sunday night, his “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” co-star Margot Robbie brought the laughs in his stead. Noting that Pitt couldn’t attend due to “family obligation,” Robbie read Pitt acceptance speech, which started off with a Brexit joke by welcoming Britain to the singles club.
After some more jokes, including a few thrown in by the actress, Robbie went on to reveal that Pitt is naming his BAFTA “Harry.” As in, Prince Harry, “because he is really excited about bringing it back to the states with him.” That got a mixed reaction from the crowd, but William and Kate were laughing away when the cameras cut to them. “His words, not mine!” Robbie added as she wrapped up.
