Black Keys Recorded New Album In “About 10 Hours”
The Black Keys have a new covers album coming out next month, “Delta Kream” and they’re giving fans a preview with their cover of John Lee Hooker’s “Crawling Kingsnake.”
The album features covers of some of the band’s biggest inspirations, blues legends like Hooker, R. L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. Since they’re big fans of the Mississippi hill country blues, making the record came naturally to them… and quickly. In a new interview, drummer Patrick Carney reveals that they recorded the whole album in “about 10 hours” with no rehearsals, over the course of two afternoons at the end of their “Let’s Rock” tour.
“Delta Kream” is due for release on May 14th and can be pre-ordered HERE.
